IV drips in Rumelihisarı, beneath the fortress walls

Rumelihisarı takes its name from the fortress built in 1452 on the narrowest point of the Bosphorus, with the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge spanning the water just beyond. It is a calm, green stretch of shore with waterfront houses, small fish restaurants, the Aşiyan Museum and the wooded campus of Boğaziçi University above. Guests here are often residents, visiting family, academics and those renting quiet homes by the water.

The shore road and the approach from the bridge can be busy at rush hour, so the arrival window is 50 to 70 minutes. Moored boats nearby can be reached in coordination with the captain.
