Longevity, without the hype

NAD+ IV therapy in Istanbul: a slow, quiet afternoon in your suite

5 min read

NAD+ has become the drip people ask about in quiet voices, usually after reading about it on a long flight. It is also the one we explain most carefully. This is a plain account of what NAD+ is, what we know and do not yet know, and what an afternoon with Bosphorus Drip actually looks like when the infusion comes to your suite, villa or yacht in Istanbul.

What NAD+ is, and what the evidence says

NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a coenzyme found in every cell of the body. It takes part in how cells turn food into usable energy and in a number of repair processes. Research suggests that NAD+ levels tend to fall with age, and this is why it sits at the centre of so much longevity interest.

It is worth being honest about the rest. Most of the striking results come from laboratory and animal studies. Human research on intravenous NAD+ is still small and early, and there is no solid proof that an infusion slows ageing. What many guests describe is softer and more personal: a clearer head, steadier energy over the following days, a sense of having reset after a demanding period. We treat it as a wellness choice for adults who are curious and well informed, not as a treatment for any illness.

Why the infusion runs slowly

NAD+ cannot be rushed. When it enters the vein too quickly, the body tends to protest: warmth and flushing across the face and chest, a feeling of pressure or tightness in the chest or stomach, mild nausea, a restless or heavy sensation in the legs. These effects are usually harmless and fade within minutes once the rate is lowered, but they are not pleasant, and they are the reason a proper NAD+ session takes time.

A typical infusion lasts between two and four hours, depending on the dose and on how your body responds on the day. A first session is usually started at a gentle rate and increased only if you are comfortable. It is a good drip to take lying down, with the curtains half drawn.

What the session is like in your suite

You message us on WhatsApp and answer a short health questionnaire. A doctor reviews every booking and approves, adjusts or declines it. For NAD+ we ask a few more questions than usual, and the doctor sets the dose before anything is prepared.

A licensed nurse arrives, in central districts usually within about an hour, and enters discreetly through the guest entrance. Your blood pressure, pulse and oxygen level are checked before the line goes in. The ingredients are sealed and single-use, and are opened in front of you. The nurse stays for the entire infusion, watches your vital signs throughout, adjusts the rate if you feel any flushing or pressure, and has an emergency kit to hand. The doctor is reachable during the visit.

Our advice is simple: book a quiet afternoon. Keep nothing important in the diary for the hours that follow, eat something light beforehand, and have water nearby. Many guests read, sleep, or take calls on mute. Some prefer it on deck on a moored yacht, with the Bosphorus moving slowly past.

Dose and price

NAD+ Longevity starts from €650 per person, with the nurse's visit included anywhere in Istanbul. This covers a standard starting dose, which suits most first sessions. Higher doses take longer and cost more; if the doctor recommends one, you will know the exact price before you confirm. Payment is on the day, by card or cash. A night visit between 00:00 and 07:00 adds €60, though NAD+ is rarely something we would suggest at that hour. If the doctor declines your booking, there is no charge.

Who should not have NAD+

The doctor will decline or postpone the infusion if any of the following applies to you:

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding, unless your own doctor has approved it
  • Heart failure or serious heart disease
  • Kidney disease or dialysis
  • A known allergy to any ingredient
  • Under 18 years of age
  • Severe intoxication, confusion, or being unable to give consent
  • Chest pain, breathing difficulty or any emergency: call 112, not a drip service

How NAD+ fits a wellness stay in Istanbul

Istanbul lends itself to a slower kind of visit: a morning hammam, long lunches by the water, an evening walk in Bebek or along the shore in Arnavutköy. NAD+ suits the quieter end of such a stay rather than a packed itinerary. Many guests schedule it for the second or third day, once the flight is behind them, and leave the rest of the afternoon free.

If you are in the city for medical or aesthetic treatment, please tell us. NAD+ is not part of post-operative care, and we will not book it around a procedure without your surgeon’s agreement.

Combining NAD+ with a Myers’ Classic

Some guests pair NAD+ with our Myers’ Classic, a 45-minute drip of fluids, B vitamins, vitamin C and magnesium at €290. It is a simpler infusion that many people find refreshing on its own. Usually the two are spread across different days of a stay, for instance Myers’ shortly after arrival and NAD+ later in the week. Whether they can be combined, and in what order, is a decision for the doctor, based on your questionnaire and how you felt during the first session.

Questions

How long does an NAD+ drip take in Istanbul?

Usually two to four hours. The rate is kept slow to avoid flushing and chest pressure, and the nurse stays with you the whole time.

How much does NAD+ IV therapy cost?

From €650 per person for a standard starting dose, visit included anywhere in Istanbul. Higher doses cost more, and you are told the price before you confirm.

Is NAD+ proven to slow ageing?

No. NAD+ plays a real role in cell energy, but human studies on infusions are still early. Many guests report feeling clearer and steadier, which is a personal experience, not a medical promise.

Can I have NAD+ on a yacht or in a villa?

Yes. The nurse can come to a hotel suite, a private villa or a yacht. Because the infusion is long, a moored yacht or a calm cruise is more comfortable.
